e-Smart Group Signs Agreement with BETA Technologies for up to 20 Electric Aircraft to Drive Next-Generation Air Cargo Operations Across Europe, the UK, and the UAE
Dubai, UAE — November 18, 2025
At the Dubai Airshow 2025, e-Smart Group announced the signing of a landmark agreement with U.S. aerospace innovator BETA Technologies for the purchase of up to twenty ALIA CTOL all-electric aircraft. The partnership marks a key milestone in e-Smart Group’s commitment to sustainable, technology-driven air logistics and its ongoing expansion across Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement includes five firm orders and fifteen additional options for BETA’s ALIA CTOL electric cargo aircraft, with first deliveries planned for 2027. Operated by e-Smart Avia, the Group’s air cargo division, the aircraft will serve high-value, time-critical markets such as express, e-commerce, medical logistics, life sciences, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services.
“The addition of these aircraft to the e-Smart Group product offering was driven by the superior technology of the aircraft for missions to support our customer base,” said Denis Ilin, CEO of e-Smart Logistics. “The quality, environmental benefits, and performance offered by BETA for the missions we have identified are unmatched by any competitor. Adding these aircraft is fully aligned with our mission to provide our clients with unparalleled services and higher-value, sustainable products.”
The partnership reflects e-Smart Group’s strategic ambition to integrate next-generation aviation technologies into its door-to-door logistics ecosystem, delivering efficiency, reliability, and sustainability across its operations. By introducing electric aircraft into its network, the Group will connect major logistics hubs and regional markets with zero-emission, high-frequency air cargo operations.
BETA’s ALIA CTOL aircraft are designed for regional cargo transport, offering a 560-kilogram payload, 5.6 cubic meters of cabin volume, and quiet, zero-emission electric propulsion. These characteristics make the aircraft ideal for frequent short-haul routes linking key European and Middle Eastern hubs to regional destinations.
The signing ceremony at the Dubai Airshow 2025 marks an important milestone in e-Smart Group’s roadmap toward sustainable logistics and its leadership in adopting innovative technologies that redefine the future of air cargo.
